Content Optimization

Hi readers!

Welcome back to my blog.

In this blog, I will tell you about content optimization, the following topics are being covered:

  1. Keyword Density
  2. Ideal Length of a Page
  3. Inter-linking of Pages
  • Keyword Density :
In earlier times, there was a notion like if you are optimizing your page for Gucci shoes and if that was the focused keyword then the people would write the same word over and over again. After that Google took action, Google wants that if anything which needs to be put in, it should be natural and nothing unnatural should be there. So the user should not repeat a keyword more than 5 to 7 times on a page otherwise it's a red signal from Google. So the keywords should be well represented and the it should be put in the form of tags. Also, you can try to use long tail keywords as they come together to build a good weightage of traffic. Therefore, you should use a good mix of long tail and focused keywords in a website.

  • Ideal Length of a Page :
Every page on a website should ideally have at least 2000 words. There are a lot of websites where we see that there are a lot of images but very less content or text. A website owner should always keep this mind that Google crawlers cannot see the images on your website, they need text to make a decision that what this website is all about and where should it be categorized specially if it's a corporate site or a blog.

  • Inter-Linking of Pages :
Inter-Linking of pages is very important if you are looking to retain your users so you have to make sure that if you are writing a blog or writing a content on your website, it has enough number of links that links to the other parts of your websites so that the user is retained within the site and doesn't go away. The idea is to hold the attention of the user as long as possible and get the user to visit the other pages on the website.

See you until next time!
